French-Chinese actress Berenice Marlohe took advantage of shooting new Bond movie Skyfall in China by looking into her Asian roots.
The star, who plays sexy Bond girl Severine, was thrilled to travel to the Far East to film scenes for the latest installment in the superspy franchise as it gave her a chance to research her Cambodian and Chinese ancestry.
She tells Britain's The Sun, "My little brothers and sisters learn Chinese in school because they are Chinese too. I was raised in a European/French way but I felt very close to Asian people, because it is 50 per cent of my blood. While I was researching my character, I had to dig into my Asian origins too. Now I want to know more and more.
"My father is Cambodian and Chinese. He moved to do some studies in France."
Marlohe was raised in Paris, but considers herself to be a woman of the world, adding, "I feel more international than French. I love to travel and I love to speak English. I love to meet people from all over the world."
