In an intimate interview with Glamour magazine, Bethenny Frankel has revealed how she blamed herself for the recent miscarriage of her child. US magazine have published some of the details of the interview, which detail how the miscarriage happened, despite the TV personality having followed doctors' orders and making sure that she got plenty of rest in the early stages of her pregnancy.
The 41 year old explained to Glamour "Because my first pregnancy had been complicated, and because I was over 40, the doctor told me that I was "high risk" and needed to take it easy. So I took it so easy. I had to." She suffered an uncomfortable start to the pregnancy though, explaining that she felt seven months pregnant even though she was only six weeks in. The doctor had already informed her that the pregnancy was "high risk" and Bethenny admits that she was worried "because we hadn't planned this, I felt unprepared, like we had so much to do to get ready for this baby. Still, I was excited, if cautiously so, with the words high risk ringing in my ears."
When she suffered the miscarriage, the doctor told her "You're 41. You had bleeding. There's nothing you could have done" but that did not prevent her from being wracked with guilt. "I blamed myself - of course I did," she said. The doctors later informed her that her baby was a female and she struggled to cope with her emotions, as she imagined her daughter Bryn (age 2) with a little baby sister. Now, Bethenny reveals that although she would like another child, she is not 'trying,' and will nature take its course.
