Beverley Knight - Beverley Knight Weds In Music-filled Ceremony
British singer Beverley Knight has married her fiance James O'keefe in front of 140 guests in a music-filled wedding at a stately home in West Sussex, England.
The Shoulda Woulda Coulda hitmaker helped design her own wedding dress for the September (12) ceremony at Goodwood House and she teamed the silk organza gown with diamond-encrusted shoes specially made by experts at Jimmy Choo.
The bride was escorted up the aisle by her brother, Adrian, to an instrumental version of her track 100% which she wrote with producer, and wedding guest, Guy Chambers.
The singer and her property developer partner previously sent out personalised invitations in the style of the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover, setting the tone for the celebration.
R&B legend Jocelyn Brown entertained guests with a set of her hits, including Somebody Else's Guy, with the bride joining her on stage for the chorus of Ain't No Mountain High Enough and a solo rendition of Prince's I Wanna Be Your Lover.
Knight tells Britain's Hello! magazine, "The joy and the excitement were the overwhelming factors for me... And I took a deep breath every time I thought I was going to cry.
"The enormity of things usually doesn't hit me until it's over, so I was fine during the day but I cried at the end."
The newlyweds jetted off to the Greek island of Crete for their honeymoon and Knight admitted she is already settling into married life, adding, "They called us Mr and Mrs O'Keefe and I didn't find myself looking round. I thought, 'Oh that's me!' It's amazing how quickly I've settled into it - I thought it would be alien to me but somehow I feel more content and settled. It feels so right."
