The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan is "devastated" after rocker Dennis Flemion went missing during a boating trip on Saturday (07Jul12).
The Frogs star is said to have been with friends and family on Wind Lake in Racine, Wisconsin when he went for a swim and did not return.
Divers have been searching for Flemion and continued their hunt on Monday (09Jul12), but reports suggest he is presumed dead.
A post on the website of music label Matador Records reads, "Dennis Flemion, one half of the Milwaukee duo known as The Frogs, was identified earlier today as the missing swimmer from a Saturday afternoon disappearance on Racine, WI's Wind Lake.
"Our thoughts go out to (bandmate and brother) Jimmy, the rest of the Flemion family, their friends and everyone who was lucky enough to know Dennis. Simply saying, 'he'll be missed' doesn't come close to covering it."
Corgan took to his Twitter.com page after hearing the news and wrote, "I'm devastated by the loss of my friend Dennis Flemion. Words can't explain the sorrow. A tragic loss. Please pray for his family."
Flemion had a brief stint in The Smashing Pumpkins playing live keyboards from 1996 to 1997.
