Rocker Billy Corgan has sent his best wishes to wrestling icon Jerry 'THE KING' LAWLER after he collapsed ringside on Monday (10Sep12).
The professional wrestler-turned-commentator was hospitalised after he passed out during a live broadcast of Wwe Raw from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
Co-host Michael Cole told viewers Lawler had received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Cpr) in the arena locker room before being admitted to the emergency room, insisting, "This is an extremely serious situation... This is not part of tonight's entertainment. This is a real-life situation."
Smashing Pumpkins star Corgan has now taken to Twitter.com to reach out to the 62 year old as he recovers.
In a post on the social networking site, he writes, "Prayers go out for our brother Jerry 'The King' Lawler."
A representative for Wwe tells Tmz.com, "Jerry 'The King' Lawler suffered a heart attack while commentating during Monday night's broadcast of Monday Night Raw in Montreal. We are hopeful Jerry makes a full recovery and returns to Wwe in the near future. Our thoughts are with Jerry and his family."
