Billy Joel - Billy Joel Thrills Crowd With Impromptu Gig At Bike Show
Music legend Billy Joel stunned revellers at a vintage motorcycle fair in Miami, Florida on Saturday (04Feb12) when he rode up on his bike and performed an impromptu show with a local band.
The Uptown Girl superstar is a huge fan of motorbikes, and even owns a bike shop and a collection of 60 vehicles open to the public.
He ensured he didn't miss out on the annual Dania Beach Vintage Motorcycle Show over the weekend, and turned up astride one of his own bikes.
And Joel couldn't keep himself away from the stage, thrilling the crowd when he performed three tracks with a local band.
The show's organiser Clare Frost tells MiamiHerald.com, "He walked through the crowd without people really knowing who he was and looked at the over 230 vintage bikes on display and talked to a few of our vendors and out of the blue, he walks up on stage and stood there facing the lead singer, Bob.
"Bob did a double take, and Billy asked him if he could jam with them. Only about 25 were around them at first but I guess with Facebook, about 100 more showed up, and when he got off the stage after about three songs, he signed autographs and had pics taken. He then got about halfway across the field, got lost in the crowd, got on (his) bike and left."
