Rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd have recruited former Black Crowes star Johnny Colt to replace the late Donald Evans, who died after losing his cancer battle in 2009.
The Sweet Home Alabama legends are hitting the road in North America and Europe this month (May12) with their latest line-up and dates will include a co-headlining stint with The Allman Brothers.
Guitarist Gary Rossington has confirmed the Crowes bassist will be a part of the band and he tells RollingStone.com the line-up is working well together: "We had a lot of fun and the music really flowed for us, so that's when you know you are on to something good."
Colt will join Rossington, Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke and longtime drummer Michael Cartellone.
