Black Eyed Peas Back On Top In U.s. Pop Chart
The BLACK EYED PEAS' new single IMMA BE has become America's favourite pop song - making them the first duo or group in 19 years to land three U.S. charttoppers from one album.
The band ended last year (09) on a high after spending 26 successive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 when Boom Boom Pow racked up 12 weeks at number one, followed by I Gotta Feeling, which scored 14 weeks in the coveted spot.
Now Imma Be has climbed up two places to take this week's (begs22Feb10) Hot 100 title, setting another chart record for the will.i.am-fronted quartet and their latest album The E.N.D.
Wilson Phillips was the last act to score three number ones from a single album in 1991.
The Black Eyed Peas end Ke$ha's reign over the pop chart; TiK ToK slips to two, while Young Money's BedRock is at three.
Lady GaGa and Lady Antebellum round out the new top five with Bad Romance in fourth place and Need You Now in fifth position.
