Blackstreet star Chauncey Black has filed a lawsuit against his former bandmate Teddy Riley over the rights to the group's name.

The 44 year old alleges Riley has been performing under the band's name without his permission.

Black, who recently purchased the name, insists Riley no longer has any performing rights to the moniker, and the No Diggity hitmaker is seeking damages for trademark infringement.

A representative for Riley tells Tmz.com, "At this time we have no comment on any of the ridiculous and frivolous claims apparently being made by Chauncey Andre Hannibal aka 'Black.'"
