Country star Blake Shelton keeps the romance alive in his marriage to Miranda Lambert by playing practical jokes on the feisty singer.

The stars, who recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary, spend much of their time apart due to their busy schedules, but Shelton makes sure their relationship never feels stale by constantly playing pranks on his animal lover wife.

He tells People magazine, "I'm always pestering her. I just cannot get enough because she gets irritated so quickly. Maybe I'll tell her one of her dogs is missing, let her believe it for 10 minutes or so. It's terrible! Anything I can think of to get a rise out of her is a sport for me."

However, the Honey Bee hitmaker insists Lambert is a lot of fun, and even flies out to Los Angeles to put up with his antics on the set of his U.S. reality show The Voice.

He adds, "She's been a lot better about finding me if I'm stuck in L.A. She'll always fly instead of going home, even if it's just a day or two. I can't express how important that's been to our relationship and why we're doing so good, because I'm the kind of guy who doesn't want to drive down a hall to go grocery shopping, much less fly across the country."

The country couple will team up professionally on Wednesday night (29May13) when Lambert joins her man at his hastily-arranged Oklahoma tornado benefit. She'll join the likes of Reba MCEntire, Luke Bryan and Usher at the sold out Chesapeake Energy Arena gig in Oklahoma City.
