BLISSFIELDS Festival will return for 2012 and to celebrate, the organisers have announced a wave of local bands. Regulars Subgiant are set to return and will be performing alongside Imperial Leisure, who will headline the opening night and The Mini Band, who shot to fame on youtube with a cover of Enter Sandman, which Metallica themselves approved of. As is customary for the festival, they still have many more acts to announce - over a hundred more, to be exact. They will also reveal the headliners in March 2012.

Other local acts on the bill include Bear Cavalry; Little Chief; Cut Corners and Stinger. Bear Cavalry has fans in DJs Nick Grimshaw; Kissy Sell Out and Skrillex.

Blissfields is renowned for its family friendly atmosphere and the eclectic range of music playing. There are many stages to choose from at the festival: The Bradley Bubble showcases a variety of entertainment as well as music, while The Hidden Hedge is where the DJs play until the early hours, creating a party atmosphere for festivalgoers.

For the children who will be in attendance, there are a variety of workshops to keep them entertained, including a DJ workshop; painting and science labs and a writing workshop. The Kindred Café provides kid friendly sweets and drinks and in the evenings, they can take part in a yoga class and listen to a bedtime story.

In the past, Blissfields has played host to artists such as: Laura Marling; Mumford & Sons; Frank Turner and Scouting For Girls.
