British rockers Bloc Party will make their live comeback at a music festival in Sweden over the summer (12).
The band has been on hiatus since 2009 and last year (11), the group's future was thrown into doubt amid rumours frontman Kele Okereke had quit to concentrate on his solo career.
However, the singer silenced the speculation in January (12) by announcing he is back with the band working on a new album, and now the stars have revealed they will return to the stage in June (12) to play at the Peace & Love Festival in Sweden. They will also perform at Germany's Melt Festival in July (12).
In a statement, guitarist Russell Lissack writes, "Hard to believe it's been nearly three years since our last show... We're really excited to announce our first festival appearances for this summer, at which we'll be debuting material from our forthcoming new album."
