Blood Red Shoes Cancel Gig Over Murder Probe
British rockers Blood Red Shoes were forced to cancel a gig in Washington, D.C. last week (21Oct10) after the venue's owner was arrested as part of a murder investigation.
The band was due to play at the DC9 last Thursday (21Oct10), but the concert was scrapped after co-owner Bill Spieler and four of his employees were arrested following the death of a 27-year-old man outside the club.
Ali Ahmed Muhammed was allegedly beaten in the street after he threw a rock at the venue's windows and he died later in hospital.
Five suspects have been charged with second-degree murder and the club has been temporarily closed, according to the Washington Post.
