Blue Ivy Carter, the newly born baby daughter of Beyonce and Jay Z, has been receiving a slew of gifts from some of the biggest names in music, following her birth on Saturday (January 7, 2012).
Beyonce's former band-mate Kelly Rowland - who recently acted as judge on the UK X Factor - wasted no time in spoiling Blue Ivy, according to People Magazine. The R&B singer headed straight to the upmarket kids boutique Lucky Wang in New York City to snap up a green long-sleeved onesie, featuring the image of iconic singer Bob Marley on the front. Though she was among the first celebrities to shower Blue Ivy with gifts, Rowland was stuck for ideas a couple of months ago, at the time saying, "I have no idea what I'm going to buy Beyonce at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible". The superstar couple and their newly born checked out of New York City's Lenox Hill Hospital early on Tuesday morning after a controversial stay at the facility, according to E! Online. Some sources had claimed the couple had paid over $1 million to hire out the entire floor of the hospital, though the speculation has since been played down. Lenox Hill officials denied the allegations and stated that all maternity patients were treated the same, despite Beyonce's stay.
Jay Z celebrated the birth of his first child by uploading a new song 'Glory' to his website on Monday. The lyrics of the track hinted that Beyonce has suffered a miscarriage before falling pregnant with Blue Ivy.
