Blues guitarist Jimmy 'fast Fingers' Dawkins has died in Chicago, Illinois. He was 76.

Dawkins was born in Mississippi and moved to Chicago in 1955, becoming part of the West Side Sound of the city's thriving blues scene.

He released 21 albums over five decades. His final release, Tell Me Baby, came out in 2004.

Dawkins also became a record company boss, running the label Leric.
