Blur rocker Graham Coxon had to flee his hotel on Monday (30Apr12) after a massive fire broke out at a seafront complex in Cornwall, England.
Coxon was staying in Falmouth, Cornwall ahead of a concert on Monday night when he witnessed a huge blaze engulf the Falmouth Beach Hotel, causing the roof to collapse.
The shaken star, who was in the building's foyer at the time, had to evacuate the guest house, and told fans of the drama via Twitter.com.
He posted a photograph of the burning building alongside the message, "We have rooms at the beach hotel and had to leave when the smell of smoke (got) a little much... We watched it... We had to leave the foyer and then watch it get worse and worse... rather sad."
A statement issued by the hotel company reads, "All guests have been evacuated and the emergency services are battling to get the blaze under control. We are currently trying to speak with the owner of the property to find out further information."
Coxon is due to play at Falmouth Princess Pavilions venue on Monday evening.
As WENN went to press, firefighters were still tackling the inferno.
