Rap newcomer B.O.B. refused to share the news about an upcoming performance for U.S. president Barack Obama because he was convinced it was a hoax.
The Airplanes hitmaker will headline the Gen44 Summit Kick Off Concert in Washington, D.C. on 30 September (10) - a bash originally organised by the Democratic National Committee.
But B.o.B. admits he had reservations about the gig because he couldn't believe he'd been asked to play for the U.S. leader and other top politicians.
He says, "I'm performing for Obama for a function that he's having... bringing out a band and everything. It's basically a concert for the President of the United States.
"I actually didn't say anything or speak to anybody about it, because I didn't believe it at first."
