Bobby Brown walked out of his ex-wife Whitney Houston's funeral just 20 minutes into the service in New Jersey on Saturday (18Feb12).
The New Edition singer joined his former mother-in-law Cissy, his 18-year-old daughter with Houston, Bobbi Kristina, and her cousin Dionne Warwick at the New Hope Baptist Church in the her native Newark to celebrate the life of the late superstar.
But Brown didn't stay long - he left the memorial soon after it started, before filmmaker Tyler Perry and Houston's The Bodyguard co-star Kevin Costner took to the podium to each pay tribute to the tragic singer.
A visibly agitated Brown was seen exiting the church with his wife Alicia Etheridge and his son Landon, from a previous relationship.
It is not known why the embattled R&B star left early, although reports earlier this week (begs13Feb12) suggested Brown had almost been banned from attending the memorial by Houston's family.
Brown and Houston divorced in 2007 after a tumultuous 15-year marriage.
Houston, 48, was found dead in her Los Angeles hotel room last Saturday (11Feb12). A cause of death has yet to be determined.
