Bobby Brown was seen breaking down on stage after he learnt about the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston. Bobby Brown was scheduled to play at a concert in Mississippi on Saturday (11 Feb2012) evening when he found out about her death.

According to US Weekly, Brown could not bear the news and had broken down, causing him to come onto the stage late. He received a huge applause whilst telling the crowd that this concert was entirely dedicated to his former lover. He said: ''I would like to say, 'I love you, Whitney.' The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage'. The star was then seen sobbing when doing the ballad 'Tenderoni', trying to get the crowd to sing along, before walking off stage when he was unable to continue.

Brown had contacted all her relatives and friends earlier that day to break the news, even though it was all across the media. An unnamed family member told People magazine: 'He could hardly get the words out when he called me. He was sobbing, and by the end of the call, I was sobbing too. He's beside himself right now.'

Houston and Brown had married in 1992, where they brought daughter Bobbi Kristina into the world the following year. After a very troubled and well-documented relationship, they separated in September 2006. Many of Houston's fans will always blame Brown for Houston's later personal difficulties.
