Former Culture Club star Boy George's mum has never forgiven him for turning down an Order of the British Empire (OBE) medal.
The gay star was offered the prestigious honour in 2004, but he refused to accept the title because he was feeling "belligerent".
George now wishes he had set a date with the Queen and accepted the medal because his mum was so disappointed when he snubbed it.
And the Karma Chameleon hitmaker insists he wouldn't turn it down if it was offered to him again.
He says, "I think if I was asked again I would say yes now. I was a bit belligerent at that point and my mum was so upset. I would love to meet the Queen. I'd take my mum to Buckingham Palace, you know, now that I've grown up a bit. Mum would love to go for the day."
