Singer Susan Boyle is a two-home woman - she's expanded her property portfolio by purchasing the childhood home where she grew up.
The I Dreamed A Dream hitmaker, who sold 8.5 million copies of her debut album, hit the headlines on Sunday (01Aug10) when it emerged her management team reportedly provides her with a weekly allowance of just $450 (£300).
But her scant salary does not appear to have affected her lifestyle - she now owns her tiny home in West Lothian, Scotland along with a $450,000 (£300,000) property nearby.
The smaller house, which cost the opera singer just $53,400 (£35,600), is the home she lived in all her life, which she continued to rent after shooting to fame on Simon Cowell's U.K. TV show Britain's Got Talent last year (09).
A source tells Scotland's Daily Record, "The house she grew up in is her last strong link to her beloved parents since they passed away. She can't wait to move into the new house. But any time she gets homesick, she just needs to walk around the corner."
