Brad Pitt is reportedly set to travel to China for the first time since being banned from the country more than 15 years ago because of his role in the movie 'Seven Years in Tibet'
Brad Pitt is going to China despite being banned.
The 49-year-old actor has announced his plans to travel to the Asian country via his verified Sina Weibo account, which is the country's version of twitter, despite being banned from ever entering China because of his starring role in the 1997 movie 'Seven Years in Tibet'.
The father-of-six posted his first message on the social networking site on Monday (07.01.13), saying: ''It is the truth. Yup, I'm coming.''
The message was then shared 31,000 times and attracted more than 14,000 comments, many of which were from shocked fans.
According to IMDB the actor was banned from the country more than a decade ago after he upset the Chinese government because of the film's portrayal of harsh Chinese rule in Tibet.
It is not known whether the actor is planning to visit the country for business or pleasure.
Brad recently enjoyed an extended holiday in the Turks and Caicos over Christmas with Angelina Jolie, where they reportedly tied the knot.
More than 22 members of Brad and Angelina's family were on the trip including their kids - Maddox, 11, Pax, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - and the 'World War Z' star's parents Jane and Bill Pitt.
The couple and their family were all staying in the exclusive Parrot Cay area of the idyllic island, and they were also allegedly joined on the trip by a team of 12 nannies to help them care for the kids.
