BRET MICHAELS jetted out to war-torn Iraq over the weekend (25-27Nov11) to share America's Thanksgiving holiday with U.S. soldiers.
The Poison singer spent the weekend (26-27Nov11) meeting members of the military who were unable to get back home to spend the festivities with their loved ones.
Michaels posed for photos, signed autographs and was taken aboard several military planes as part of his visit.
The rocker posted some images on his Facebook.com page alongside the words, "In a time where many troops are away from their families this Thanksgiving, Bret had the privilege of visiting with some soldiers in training who were unable to be home this holiday weekend."
He added on Twitter.com, "Enjoyed my visit with the troops this weekend. I want to thank them for letting me check out their planes."
