Brooke Hogan is following in her father Hulk Hogan's footsteps and is joining 'TNA IMPACT Wrestling'.

The 24-year-old singer - who shot to fame with her dad, brother Nick and mother Linda on reality TV series 'Hogan Knows Best' - is the new executive in charge of the company's female wrestling division, who are known as The Knockouts, and she will appear on the weekly grappling TV show from May 31.

TNA President Dixie Carter said: ''I have really gotten to know Brooke by working with her on her music career this past year-and-a-half.

''When we did talk wrestling, I not only loved her passion and knowledge of it, but the fresh, creative ideas she would come up with. She is very savvy. I asked if she would consider teaming up with me in this capacity while she also worked on her music, and I was thrilled when she said 'yes'. A big personality runs in her genes, obviously, and I know she is going to take an already exciting division of 'IMPACT Wrestling' to another level.''

As well as the news that Brooke is joining TNA, the company also announced 'IMPACT Wrestling' is going to be broadcast live in the US on Spike TV on Thursday nights for the entire summer from the same date Brooke joins. In the UK the programme airs on Challenge TV.

This year, Brooke's iconic father Hulk came to Britain as part of the 'Maximum IMPACT Tour' and speculation is rife Brooke will join the TNA stars for the 'Road To Lockdown' tour of the UK and Ireland in January 2013.

The tour - for which tickets go on sale next Friday (25.05.12) - will feature the company's first ever cage matches in the UK and will kick off in Dublin on January 21, before heading to Glasgow (January 23), Nottingham (January 24), Manchester (January 25) and then concluding in London where two episodes of 'IMPACT Wrestling' will be taped.

Wrestling stars confirmed for the tour include Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Bobby Roode.
