Brooke Mueller - Brooke Mueller Wins Court Order Banning Live Courtroom Feed
Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller has won a court order banning members of the media from streaming her upcoming drug arraignment live online.
The troubled reality TV star was arrested on suspicion of third degree assault and drug possession in Aspen, Colorado, following a scuffle at a nightclub on 2 December (11). She was also booked on possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
She was due to answer to the counts on 19 December (11), but the Aspen District Attorney delayed the court date until 23 January (12).
A lawyer for Mueller, who is currently enrolled in a rehabilitation programme, later filed a request asking the Colorado judge overseeing the case to prevent the court proceedings from being aired live on websites like Tmz.com in a bid to preserve the "dignity of the court".
And on Friday (06Jan12) Judge Gail Nichols upheld her lawyer's request ruling that a live courtroom feed "would interfere with the rights of a party to a fair trial," according to local publication The Aspen Times.
Sheen and Mueller divorced last year (11).
