Bruce Willis has confirmed reports suggesting he's donating the Idaho ski resort he bought in the late 1990s to a charity group.

Non-profit group Soldier Mountain Ski Area, Inc. will assume ownership and operations of the resort.

Announcing the news in a statement, the movie star writes, "I couldn't be more pleased with the organization that will be responsible for the management of the Soldier Mountain Ski Area.

"The community came together, established the Smsa organization, and now assures its continued success. It was exciting to see that the very people who ski at Soldier care so much about its future. I wish them the very best."

Willis bought the Fairfield property when he was married to Demi Moore. The couple and family members have become regulars at the winter sports mecca over the past two decades.
