The Buffalo Springfield reunion appears to be over before it really got going.
Neil Young reunited with bandmates Richie Furay and Stephen Stills for a handful of California dates in 2010 and 2011 and a headlining slot at last year's (11) Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee, but plans for a North American tour were shelved and now Furay has announced the band is once again on an indefinite hiatus.
The sparse reunion shows were the first time the trio had performed as Buffalo Springfield since the band split in 1968.
Furay recently told radio station Wbai, "I was actually told we're doing this 30-day tour... (but) Neil is just fickle and even though it boils down to all three of us making a decision, without the three of us, really there can't be anything that would even resemble Buffalo Springfield.
"I gotta say that we probably lost a little bit of our momentum; that isn't to say it couldn't be picked up again, but I certainly don't see anything happening this year."
