Late american rocker Captain Beefheart is set for a posthumous return to the charts - a 'lost' album he made with music icon Frank Zappa is set to be released next month (Jan12).
The star, real name Don Van Vliet, recorded Bat Chain Puller in 1976, but the project was put on hold after producer Zappa sued his former manager Herb Cohen for allegedly stealing money from the label they co-founded, DiscReet Records.
The venture never hit retailers - but now Zappa's estate executors have agreed to release the album on 15 January (12) - on what would have been Beefheart's 71st birthday.
Beefheart passed away last year (10) at the age of 69, while Zappa died in 1993, aged 52.
