Country music stars Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert look set to dominate the 2012 Cmt Music Awards after landing a combined total of nine nominations.
American Idol winner Underwood leads the pack with five nods - her song Good Girl will go head-to-head with Lambert's Over You for Video and Female Video of the Year, and her unlikely duet with rocker Steven Tyler during a pre-Super Bowl party also earned her a mention in the Cmt Performance of the Year category.
The Male Video of the Year will be a battle between the likes of Keith Urban (Long Hot Summer), Jason Aldean (Dirt Road Anthem) and Lambert's husband, triple nominee Blake Shelton (God Gave Me You), while the Eli Young Band's Crazy Girl, Lady Antebellum's We Owned the Night and Banjo by Rascal Flatts will compete for Group Video of the Year.
Other artists up for prizes at the Country Music Television ceremony include Taylor Swift, Sugarland, The Civil Wars and Martina MCBride.
The event will air live in the U.S. from Nashville, Tennessee on 6 June (12).
