Acting legend Catherine Deneuve is to be honoured with one of the film industry's most prestigious awards at a ceremony in New York City in April (12).
The 68 year old will be handed the coveted Chaplin Award by the Film Society of Lincoln Center in recognition of her career achievements.
Previous recipients of the prize include Al Pacino, Sir Michael Caine, Clint Eastwood and Audrey Hepburn, as well as Sidney Poitier, who claimed the award in 2011.
Chairman Ann Tenenbaum tells The Hollywood Reporter, "The Board is very excited to have Catherine Deneuve as the next recipient of The Chaplin Award. She is not simply one of the screen's greatest and most iconic beauties and muse to some of international cinema's most notable auteurs, but has delivered rich and complex characters that continue to live with us for five decades now."
Deneuve will be honoured during a star-studded gala on 2 April (12).
