Cee-lo Green Says Career Is Becoming A Quentin Tarantino Movie
Cee-Lo Green, the 36-year-old soul singer who releases his new album 'The Lady Killer' today, says his eventful rise to stardom could be made into a Quentin Tarantino movie. The singer, perhaps most famous for his work in Gnarls Barkley, spoke about his new record in an interview with the New York Magazine, saying, "It's definitely another chapter in my novel. And I would say my career is starting to resemble something QUENTIN TARANTINO would direct".
'The Lady Killer' is the follow up to Green's 2004 solo album 'Cee Lo Green. Is the Soul MAChine' which despite being critically acclaimed, failed to make an impression commercially. However, the singer's latest effort looks set to be a hit in both the UK and US charts. The UK's Metro newspaper described the record as "set of superlative soul tracks that reach back to classic old-school stylings while retaining the artist's wit, wickedness and inventiveness" while the Chicago Tribute writes, "Green has a voice that can burst any melody wide open".
'The Lady Killer' hits shelves in the UK today (8th November 2010) and in the US tomorrow.
