Becoming one of the more expected new year's traditions alongside the unwanted diet plan and the mouldy Christmas tree in the living room, the UK's Celebrity Big Brother returns to television tonight, January 5th 2012, with the usual rumour mill spinning as to who will make up the competition for this year's edition. Last year stars including Hollywood actress Tara Reid, former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Amy Childs, Jedward and Kerry Katona among others.
The UK's Guardian newspaper has been leading the way with predictions for who'll be stepping out of the limo tonight, suggesting that the most hotly touted name has been that of actor Michael Madsen, most known for his roles in the films 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'Kill Bill' - someone the paper describes as "a genuine celebrity." Other actors in the frame apparently include former 'Eastenders' actress Natalie Cassidy, who played Sonia in the long-running soap, and former 'Coronation Street' and current 'Loose Women' star Denise Welch. We're sure Madsen will know both their careers very well.
With the advent of semi-reality TV shows such as 'The Only Way Is Essex' and 'Made In Chelsea,' a whole slew of new reality stars are now being produced in the UK, and as such the likes of Kirk Norcross could well be in the mix. In the reality sector though there is of course one, huge favourite to be involved in the series, with 'X Factor UK' contestant Frankie Cocozza keen to sustain his fame after the drugs-scandal that led to his eviction from the competition.
