Chantelle Houghton and Preston are set to rekindle their relationship following a 24-hour heart-to-heart meeting.

The former couple - who were thrown together again in reality TV show 'Ultimate Big Brother' following their divorce in 2007 - reportedly spent Friday night (10.09.10) together and checked into a hotel on Saturday (11.09.10) to discuss their future following the series' finale.

They are believed to have been discussing what changes they both need to make in order to make their romance work again.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "They've grown up so much and that will make a difference. Neither is prepared to let history repeat itself. If this is going to work, they have said they will need to approach it properly to give the relationship a fighting chance."

Chantelle and Preston are planning to take things slowly and intend to go on a series of dates.

They also intend to stay out of the limelight and rekindle their love away from the public eye.

Following his eviction from the Big Brother house on Friday, Preston admitted the time he had spent on the show with Chantelle made him realise he still had feelings for his ex-wife.

The 28-year-old musician - who first met the 27-year-old beauty on 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2006 - said: "At the back of my mind I do have feelings that I'd forgotten about because I hadn't seen Chantelle. I still remember why we split up, but I'd remembered all those things I'd forgotten about during those times."
