Charlene Tilton has been voted off the 2012 season of Dancing on Ice. The Dallas star lost the skate-off against the TV presenter Sam Nixon, after finding herself in the bottom two once more. The show last night (February 5, 2012) was pop-themed and Charlene and her partner Matt Gonzalez performed a routine to Lady GaGa's 'Poker Face.' However, the judges preferred Sam's 'Wake Me Up Before You Go Go' dance and he was rescued from elimination.
According to The Press Association, Charlene had begun the show by referring to herself as 'Suzie Skate-off', saying that her goal for that week's show was to ensure that she did not end up in the bottom two. Unfortunately, she was unable to achieve her goal and was sent home at the end of the show. Speaking of her feelings about losing and about her time on the show, she said "I feel all right. I've had the most amazing experience. I've worked with the best wardrobe, hair and make up department I've ever worked with." Later this year, Charlene is scheduled to be appearing in the updated TV version of Dallas, in which she will reprise her role of Lucy Ewing.
Dancing on Ice is hosted by Christine Bleakley and Philip Schofield, with the UK skating legends Torvill and Dean acting as the contestants mentors. So far this series, two contestants have had to withdraw from the show due to injury, including Keith Chegwin, who broke three ribs and fractured a shoulder. The Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter scored the highest points of the evening, impressing the judges with a routine that was soundtracked by 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' by BRITNEY SPEARS.
