Electronic music stars Chase & Status are setting up a free school for aspiring musicians in England.

The dance duo will launch the institution in east London in a bid to give teens a place to study subjects like math and English, as well as music.

Will Kennard insists he was motivated to develop the project after watching his teacher brother mentor students at North Trafford College in Manchester, insisting the kids had talent but no platform to take their craft any further.

He tells U.K. publication The Sunday Times, "I came across some incredibly talented kids who did not know how good they were at music. They did not really progress to the next level and realise their ambitions. These kids were probably more talented than I was, yet here I am succeeding in the music industry. Why aren’t they?"

The programme will be backed by the prestigious Brit School, which counts Adele and Amy Winehouse among its alumni.
