Dance duo CHASE & STATUS was almost forced to call off its tour last month (Jan11) after bandmember SAUL 'CHASE' MILTON was struck down with suspected swine flu.
The London electro stars were set to begin promoting their latest album, No More Idols, when Milton fell seriously ill with what doctors believed to be a severe bout of the deadly illness.
He was hospitalised in an isolation unit and given swine flu medication.
Milton explains, "We did some gigs in Australia at the start of last month and were all prepared to promote the album as soon as we got home. When we landed I started feeling b***dy awful.
"We had this mad schedule and all I could concentrate on was how ill I felt. I was told it was probably swine flu and was sent to hospital. I was in an isolation ward and was dosed up with Tamiflu.
"It turned out to be a viral infection and acute tonsillitis but the timing couldn't have been worse. I was recognised by someone while I was in the isolation ward and thought, 'Please don't ask for an autograph. That would be too surreal.'"
