Chaz Bono, the American actor and musician who recently underwent a sex change, says he would be willing to speak to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie about their daughter Shiloh's dress sense, reports E! Online. Chaz Bono has become the face of the transgender movement after making the transition from Chastity to 'Chaz' via a series of operations and treatments.
Recent pictures of Pitt and Jolie's 4-year-old Shiloh caught the attention of the press, with fashion commentators noting the child's 'tom boy' look. One particular shot of Shiloh walking through Los Angeles airport wearing chunky army style boots, grey shorts and a polo shirt attracted considerable interest. Bono, the daughter of singer Cher and Sonny Bono, says he doesn't know Pitt or Jolie but made an open offer to speak to them about their daughter, saying, "I would love to talk to them at some point.to at least let them know we have this resource for them if they ever need it". The 42-year-old went on to remark, "People get too freaked out about kids and what to do with kids. If you just let kids do what they need to do they usually have the right idea". Chaz Bono's gender transformation is documented in the new movie 'Becoming Chaz', which airs on the Oprah Winfrey network tonight (10th May 2011). The film received a resoundingly positive reaction when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2011.
Chaz Bono has also published her new book 'Transition: The Story of How I Became a Man', which hit shelves yesterday (9th May 2011).
