Chemical Brothers' We are the Night record has entered the album chart at number one.

The electronic duo's sixth studio album knocked Editors' An End Has a Start off the top spot down to number four, while the Travelling Wilburys' best-of, Collection, advanced to second spot.

The second-highest new entry in the album chart was Time On Earth from Crowded House, who performed in the Sydney Live Earth concert yesterday.

Velvet Revolver's Libertad was the only other new entry in the top ten, charting at six.

In the singles charts it was an eighth successive week at the top for Rihanna's Umbrella.

Kate Nash was at two with Foundations while Avril Lavigne was new at number three with her When You're Gone track.

Enrique Iglesias' Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song) slipped down to number four but the Hoosiers' Worried About Ray enjoyed a bump from six to five this week.
