Flamboyant pop icons Cher and Lady GaGa are plotting a cross-generational music collaboration after bonding at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The pair met for the first time at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles earlier this month (Sep10), when Cher, 64, presented Gaga, 24, with the Video of the Year prize, and sources claim they became firm friends immediately.
Author Mark Bego, who has written two books about Cher, tells the National Enquirer, "They are now like mother and daughter.
"They both take their outlandish fashion sense dead seriously, both have a sense of humour about themselves, and they are both staunch gay rights activists."
The two singers are even planning to hit the studio together, according to the Enquirer's sources. An insider reveals, "They've talked about performing in concert together - and perhaps even recording a duet."
