For the first time in ten years, Cheryl Cole looks set to grace the stage at the infamous G-A-y nightclub, MTV reports today (June 6, 2012). The club often provides a platform for established and upcoming pop acts. The last time Cole trod the boards at the London party spot was when she was performing as a member of Girls Aloud.
Just two days before the release of her third solo LP, 'A Million Lights,' Cheryl will perform at the club on June 16, 2012. Cheryl warmed up for the slot in a pretty high profile manner, with a performance at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert, where she sang a duet with Gary Barlow of Take That. The Geordie pop singer is expected to perform her new single 'Call My Name,' as well as other songs from the forthcoming album.
Cole's got a few year's performing experience under her belt now but the last time she sang at G-A-y it was Girls Aloud's first ever live performance after winning the TV talent contest Popstars: the Rivals. Cole has hinted that there may well be a Girls Aloud reunion on the cards, to mark the band's ten year anniversary. She dropped a few hints on Chris Moyles' Radio 1 show recently that something was on the cards and it is thought that the girls are planning a reunion tour in 2013. Whether or not the tour will be a one-off reunion though, or the start of a comeback, is still the subject of speculation.
