Whilst Cheryl Cole maintains that she is focusing on recording a new album, tabloid rumours of her returning to TV are still doing the rounds. Today (March 14, 2012), the Daily Star report that she's snubbing her old boss Simon Cowell, to make an appearance on The Voice. Last year, Cole was fired after just two weeks of appearing on the US version of X Factor and the Daily Star suggest that appearing on the rival show in the UK would be the ultimate revenge for the 28 year-old Geordie popstar. Cowell reportedly offered her a slot on Britain's Got Talent but, it would appear that she turned him down.
An insider for the Bbc reportedly told the paper that Cheryl is likely to join The Voice as a guest mentor and added "Because it's the Bbc, people have been told not to gloat. However, there is no doubt it is a real coup." On March 24, 2012, Britain's Got Talent and The Voice will go head-to-head for the first time. With last year's viewing figures for X Factor looking less than impressive, Simon Cowell is yet to announce who this year's celebrity judges will be. He'll be looking to provide a bigger pull than The Voice, who have BLACK EYED PEAS' WILL.I.AM (who is also Cole's manager, nonetheless), Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue and Tom Jones on the judging panel.
