Cheryl Cole - Cheryl Cole On Cher Lloyd: Maybe I Didn't Teach Her Well Enough
Cheryl Cole has had more than a few 'X Factor' related spats to deal with recently; Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh . we thought as a result then that she might have forgotten, or maybe just turned the other cheek, in regards to the brief dust up her former protege Cher Llyod was looking to start when the 18 year-old criticised the Geordie star's singing talent. A new interview with GQ magazine, not yet out on shelves, has put any thought of that out our heads though, as Cole talks fully about the episode.
Lloyd has since apologised for her comments, reports MTV News, but that evidently hasn't softened Cole's reaction. "I went through hell to get her on that programme," she ranted to the magazine, "Even with Simon. Everyone says stuff at the beginning of their career that they will learn to regret." The 28-year old finished her attack by stating "It's disappointing because I fought for her. Maybe I didn't teach her as well as I thought I had."
In the same interview Cole also revealed that blowing up an effigy of Simon Cowell whilst visiting troops in Afghanistan was enough to make her speak to the mogul again. "The troops in Afghanistan thought it would be funny to dress one of the test dummies as Simon and blow him up in front of me," she said "It felt great actually. When I landed back in England there was a message from Simon - "Hello Cheryl. So now you've blown me up in Afghanistan, can we talk" - and we did." She added, "I'm not one of those people who holds a grudge about anything and I know exactly what went down."
