Chris Brown Denies Rihanna Neck Tattoo
Chris Brown has denied rumours surrounding his latest tattoo, which appears to of a beaten Rihanna, reports The NME.
Forever embroiled in controversy, Chris Brown's latest escapade sees him confuse and enrage the public by getting inked with what appears to be an image of a beaten woman. Given Brown's conviction for felony assault on fellow music star, and then girlfriend, Rihanna, many construed the new tattoo to be an image of her, but that has been firmly denied. "His tattoo is a sugar skull (associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics design he saw. It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported," explained a representative for Brown. Whatever image the tat was intended to depict, it undeniably bears a resemblance to a beaten woman, and whilst it is impossible to prove the true meaning, Chris Brown could have gone with something safer, especially considering the highly visible location on which the tattoo lies.
Rihanna remains friends with Brown, even after their physical altercation back in 2009 lead to the Barbadian's hospitalisation. She is quoted, whilst talking to US chat show host Oprah Winfrey, as saying "I think he is the love of my life. He was my first love. Now we're very close friends. And that's not anything we're going to try to change." The pair were recently photographed kissing and hugging at the MTV Video Music Awards.
