Talking Heads - Chris Frantz Refuses To Give Up On Talking Heads Reunion Dream

Former Talking Heads star Chris Frantz refuses to give up on a reunion and hopes frontman David Byrne "wakes up" to the idea one day.
The drummer tells that he, his wife and bandmate Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison would be interested in a comeback - but reveals Psycho Killer singer Byrne has always been resistant to plans.
Frantz is hoping that the release of a new Dvd retrospective of early performances, titled Talking Heads Chronology, will prompt the frontman to reconsider.
He says, "(The Dvd) makes me think, like, 'Whose idea was it to stop this band anyway?'
"Shortly after the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (induction ceremony reunion) thing (in 2002), I said, 'This is so much fun, why don't we continue with this a little bit?' I was kind of met with, shall we say, a lot of resistance, and sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone.
"We all hope David will one day wake up and say, 'Boy, I should call Chris and Tina and Jerry...' That's the only way anything will happen."

If they're not gonna play again, maybe they could at least provide me with the master tapes for "The Name of This Band is Talking Heads". The CD release of that great live album was badly ruined in mastering. Way, way, way too loud! I don't who let that slip by, but it's far worse than most rap albums. I have to reduce the gain of the audio files by 5dB to make it even listenable. What an awful hack job.
