The brother of tragic hip-hop producer Chris Lighty has cast doubt on an initial autopsy report, which suggests the music mogul's death was a suicide.
Mariah Carey and Sean 'Diddy' Combs' former manager was found dead in his Bronx, New York apartment on 30 August (12) with a gunshot wound to the head, and the New York Medical Examiner's office later confirmed Lighty's injuries were self-inflicted.
However, the music mogul's sibling, Dave Lighty, refuses to believe his brother shot himself and he is asking police officials to continue investigating the tragedy, so he can start to find peace.
He tells local news station Fox 5, "I'm surprised, shocked, and lost at this moment. I want the truth to come out. This isn't my brother. My brother was a strong person... Nothing is adding up. I can't get a direct answer from anybody... I understand there's a process to be followed. I can't even get clear answers from people I think I should be getting clear answers from."
Several reports suggested the star was struggling financially at the time of his death, but Dave Lighty insists money woes would not have prompted his brother to take his own life.
He adds, "Everyone's like, 'That's not the Chris I know,' in no way, shape, or form. Things were popping (going well)... Yeah, we're in a bad economy, that's everywhere. Nah. Not this. We've been in way worse situations than this. I just want to know what really happened to my brother... I just want the truth. The truth."
