Chris Pine - Chris Pine: Working On Star Trek 2 Is Like Paid Summer Camp
Chris Pine claims working on 'Star Trek 2' is like taking part in a ''summer camp you get paid for'' and says J.J. Abrams' sequel could be ''bigger'' than the first film.
The 31-year-old actor - who is reprising his role as James T. Kirk in director J.J. Abrams' film - has revealed he had a blast filming the sequel and promises it could be even ''bigger'' than the first 2009 blockbuster.
Chris told HitFix: ''This is no hyperbole - I love everyone that I get to make that film with. I love all my cast mates. It's like camp that you get paid for.
''You can't ask for a better gig. The new one is just as exciting if not bigger than the first.''
He enthused: ''The great thing that Alex [Kurtzman], Bob [Roberto Orci], Damon [Lindelof] and J.J. are good at is marrying small character driven films with big blockbuster action.
''I think that is the thing that sets them apart from other filmmakers in that genre.''
The film is due for release next May.
