Christina Aguilera - Christina Aguilera Trips On Stage At Grammys
CHRISTINA AGUILERA slipped and nearly fell off the stage at last night's GRAMMY AWARDS.
CHRISTINA AGUILERA, the American singer who forgot the words to the national anthem at last week's Super Bowl, tripped and almost fell off the stage at the 53rd GRAMMY AWARDS, reports MTV News. During the opening moments of last night's show, Aguilera was performing an ARETHA FRANKLIN tribute when she stumbled and almost lost her balance. The 30-year-old singer was given a standing ovation for her participation in the medley of Franklin's hits, but she almost crashed to floor after taking a bow. Aguilera, who grabbed onto her microphone stand to regain her balance, was joined by JENNIFER HUDSON, MARTINA MCBRIDE, FLORENCE WELCH and YOLANDA ADAMS for the show's opening performance at the ceremony in Los Angeles. Despite the singer's mishap, the performance was seen as a fitting tribute to the 68-year-old Queen of Soul, who reportedly underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer last year.
LADY GAGA was the big winner at the 53rd GRAMMY AWARDS, picking up wins in three categories. There was also wins for ARCADE FIRE, who scooped 'Album of the Year' for their acclaimed record 'The Suburbs' and for LADY ANTEBELLUM who took home the honours of 'Record of the Year' and 'Song of the Year'.
