Christina Hendricks would "love" to play Wonder Woman in a movie.

The 'Mad Men' beauty - who recently signed up to star alongside Sarah Jessica Parker in comedy film 'I Don't Know How She Does It' - claims nothing has been made official, but says she would "love" to star in a film about the superhero.

She said: "I heard that rumour too - I don't know where it got started but I love it."

The 35-year-old flame-haired actress adds she has always wanted to wear the outfit - consisting of high-wasted blue shorts and a red bustier - made famous by Lynda Carter in the 70s TV show 'The New Adventures of Wonder Woman'.

She told US TV host Rachel Ray: "I've been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life! I'd love to do it. That would be such fun. Let's put it out there."

Best known as Joan Holloway in 60s TV series 'Mad Men' Christina has a number of movie roles coming up including 'Detachment' and 'Drive'.
