Cleric Desperate To Employ Gibson For Biopic
Controversial Polish cleric FATHER HENRYK JANKOWSKI is desperate to employ Mel Gibson to direct a movie about his life.
The 70-year-old believes the actor-turned-director's religious credentials combined with his moviemaking skills make him a perfect choice to helm the forthcoming biopic.
He says, "(Gibson is) a great man and an honest Catholic. He's also a distinguished artist. His Passion (Of The Christ) was a real masterpiece.
"We have never met face to face, but the opportunity is coming up."
The Henryk Jankowski Institute, run by the cleric's colleagues, will launch a range of branded T-shirts, cigarette lighters and other merchandise in a bid to finance the film.
