Blur and the Stone Roses will switch spots at the Coachella festival in California on Friday (19Apr13) after organisers decided the Parklife hitmakers were better headliners.

Blur played support to the reunited Manchester, England group last week (12Apr13) on the opening night of the festival and drew a huge crowd that noticeably began to drift away when the Stone Roses stepped up on the main stage to end the day.

Coachella bosses subtly announced the headliner switch on Wednesday (17Apr13) by displaying a revamped lineup for this coming Friday night on their website.

Now, it appears the Stone Roses will play before Blur's late-night set.

No reason has been given for the change, but many critics and news outlets suggested Blur blew their fellow countrymen away last weekend and served up one of the best performances on the opening day of the festival.
